Adding Tap-to-Run Automation to Smart Products
Tap-to-Run Automation allows users to program several devices to turn on at the same time. Users are able to customize the color and brightness of each lamp. This function works well to create automation for special events or holidays. Download a PDF of these instructions.
1. Download Brilliance Smart from the Apple App Store or Google Play by scanning the QR code. Register for an account if you are a first time user.
2. Open the Brilliance Smart app and tap the Smart button at the bottom.
3. Select the Tap-to-Run tab.
4. Tap Launch Tap-to-Run.
5. Tap Run the device.
6. From the All Devices list, select a device.
7. From the Select Function list, tap ON/OFF.
NOTE: The Select Function screen may not have an ON/OFF option if the device was made prior to May 2020.
8. Tap ON, and then tap SAVE.
9. Tap Brightness.
10. Move the Kelvin Slider and the Dimming Slider to the positions you want and tap Save.
11. Tap COLOR.
12. Move the Color Selector, Saturation Slider, and the Dimming Slider to the positions you want and tap Save.
13. Tap NEXT.
14. To add another device, tap the Add button in the Task section, or skip to step 18.
15. Repeat steps 5 through 13 for the next lamp until all lamps are added.
16. Tap Name.
17. Name the automation and tap Save.
18. Tap Style.
19. Select a photo from the options provided. To customize the photo, tap the Add button in the lower-left corner.
20. From the menu at the bottom of the screen, choose Take a Photo or Select from Album.
21. From the Photo Menu, select a cover photo.
22. Adjust the image to fit in the bounding box, and then tap Done in the lower-right corner.
23. Tap Save at the bottom of the screen.
24. The automation is now set for a tap-to-run automation.
