If a 75W Brilliance transformer does not keep time out of the box, it is likely because the voltage switch needs to be reset. Follow the instructions below to reset the voltage switch.
Download a PDF of these instructions.
1. Unplug the transformer from the 120V receptacle.
2. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the cover screws from both sides of the transformer and remove the cover.
3. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the bottom plate screws on both sides and remove the conduit plate from the transformer.
4. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the remaining screws on both sides of the transformer cabinet.
5. Gently lift the front control plate and pull it away from the transformer cabinet. Do not disconnect any wires.
6. Tilt the front timer plate forward to view the voltage switch (indicated in red circle).
If the voltage switch is set to 10A Ballast, 277 VAC then the timer motor will not turn.
7. Use a small flathead screwdriver to slide the switch to 16A Ballast, 120 VAC. This is the correct setting for the motor to operate.
Note: if the voltage switch is already set to 16A Ballast, 120 VAC then call your local sales representative for further troubleshooting.
8. Fold the wires into the transformer cabinet and replace the timer plate.
9. Align the screw holes and use a Philips screwdriver to tighten the screws.
10. Replace the cover and use a Philips screwdriver to tighten the lid screws.
11. Reconnect the transformer to the 120V receptacle and test the timer.
